9pm and all the restaurants were packed. so we settled for cold sandwiches instead at the 'pommes du pain' (with the outside temperature at 1 degree c anything will turn cold).
and of course baby fell asleep in the stroller.
we also stopped by 'la brioche dorée' to pick up some tarts. the cashier/server was really weird. he assumes that we know what certain pastries were supposed to look like?! i was looking at something labeled apple tart or pie and he said it was labeled wrong and replied "a la francais" to a frangipane.
